First thing I thought of when I saw the x-ray was the hoopla years ago when they came out with polymer framed guns that they could be "smuggled" on airplanes. Looks like the frame actually does kinda dissapear a little. Only problem is they'd be kinda useless without that steel barrel and slide. Not much use for it then other than as a plastic hammer.
